Yet, there is also a positive effect on the vegetative nervous system - The feeling of well-being after a round of swimming or a visit to the sauna makes us forget stress. Besides, we also feel lighter in the water and being in the water relieve the pressure on our backs and joints.
The Hopfensee Lake beckons in summer. Our indoor swimming pool is open all year round. So, don’t forget to pack your swimming gear so that you can enjoy the water’s pleasures.

Water experience
In the main building -
- Indoor swimming pool - The heated pool with a counter-current system is 10 x 5.5 m in size and 1.30 m deep. You can swim here, or enjoy the sun and warmth by the window on the relaxation loungers.
- Kneipp treading pool - The proven way to boost your circulation and refresh tired legs.
- Natural swimming pool with wonderfully soft, pure water.
- Foot basin for cold and warm foot baths in preparation for sweating and between sauna sessions. Bathe your feet in the natural rock basin while enjoying the beautiful view.
Outside by the stream:
- Kneipp bathhouse - There is a bench where you can sit and have a foot bath and also for relaxing on in between sauna sessions. With WC, shower and Kneipp affusionsr area (is also used for therapeutic applications).
- ‘Forest & Meadow’ outdoor shower with a wicker screen where you can refresh yourself.
And by the way, throughout the hotel and in all the water experience facilities there is vitalised water from the deep spring in Schwangau.
