This can be seen, among other things, in the increase in the area with solar panel surfaces as well as the spread of e-mobility in the Allgäu region. Guests at the Biohotel Eggensberger also benefit from this sustainable development.
Living and recuperating on a natural basis is best. That is why the Eggensberger Hotel, since 2002, has been run by the family as the first certified organic hotel in the Allgäu region and has lived up to its responsibility for sustainability and climate protection through a variety of measures. A commitment based on conviction and a concept that is constantly being developed - In 2008, the organic hotel in Bavaria became the first climate-neutral hotel in the Allgäu region - and, since 2019, it has even been climate-positive.

Recharging the batteries - Solar energy is not only good for the soul - it also recharges the batteries of e-bikes and e-cars.
This is ensured by more than 1000m² of photovoltaic surfaces that capture the sun's rays on the roof and on the south side. The battery storage system in the basement powers the charging points for guests and employees. Thanks to the sophisticated solar power concept and state-of-the-art technology, climate-friendly mobility is guaranteed on site.

Enjoy a direct view from our 4-star hotel on the Hopfensee Lake and experience the healthy environment at the Kneipp and climatic health resort of Hopfen am See. Thanks to electrosmog reduction and natural sleep systems healthy sleeping and living are easy here.. The organic rooms have been fitted out with pure natural materials and are especially suitable for allergy sufferers.
Our restaurant offerings are 100 % organic -: Generally, the regional products that are used come from the family's own organic farm and from organic partner businesses in the Allgäu region.

When forward-looking technology and responsible resource management join together, there can be no limits to your passion for exploring.Electric charging points (fast charging point and 8 charging points with TESLA destination charger) powered by 100 % solar power from the hotel's own system are located in the hotel car park.
The reception team will instruct you how to use the electric charging points - and you’ll get suggestions for excursions for free.

Sustainable Resource Management
Warmth, light and energy are all essential for our well-being. But unfortunately they are neither easily nor infinitely available. That is why at our hotel, since 2014, our focus has been on the solar power 5-star concept and many other initiatives. In this way, we are able to demonstrate how well sustainable resource management and modern comfort can be combined in a four-star wellness hotel. We would explicitly encourage others to copy what we have done.
