The Biohotel Eggensberger is located close to countryside and is a sun-drenched spot halfway up the Enzensberg mountain above Hopfen am See - a Kneipp and climatic health resort. It has an idyllic location on a slope above the lake and, yet, it is easily accessible.
As a certified Biohotel, we are always happy if you choose an environmentally-friendly travel option: e.g. on foot (has actually happened), by bicycle, bus or train. But, of course, you can also reach us easily by car - e-charging stations are located on site at the hotel.

How best to reach us
Arriving by train
Travel comfortably by train and arrive feeling relaxed and refreshed. You can find your train connection to Füssen on the website of the Deutsche Bahn (German Railyways). It’s even more relaxed without luggage - The Hermes courier service can take the hassle out of carrying your luggage and deliver it directly to your holiday address and back home again.
Good to know - if you arrive by train, then the taxi transfer from Füssen train station to the Hotel Eggensberger will be free of charge. Ask the taxi driver at the station in Füssen directly about this.

Arriving by car
You can easily reach our hotel from the North/SouthA7 Autobahn . The last exit before the border to Tyrol/Austria is Füssen - and just 6 km further away is the Hopfen am See district.
Take the A7 Füssen exit, turn right in the direction of Weißensee/Pfronten and then immediately turn right again to Hopferau. Shortly before entering the village, the state road turns right towards Hopfen am See. In the village, follow the lakeside road and the hotel guide system; after approx. 800m on the left, the Höhenstraße goes up the southern slope. Once you have passed "Haus Hopfensee", it is just approx.150m until you see Enzensbergstraße on the left and arrive at the Biohotel Eggensberger.
Please note that, during holiday periods, there is a risk of traffic congestion due to block processing before the border tunnel - we recommend leaving the Autobahn early at Oy or Nesselwang and following the B309 via Pfronten.
Arriving by plane
For international travellers there is frequently no other way.
You can fly to the following airports:
- Memmingen Airport (73 km)
- Friedrichshafen Airport (123 km)
- Munich-Erding Airport (159 km)
- Stuttgart Airport (212 km)
- Innsbruck Airport (113 km)
On request, a shuttle service can be arranged from Munich-Erding and Memmingen airports to the hotel and back again.
Local bus travel
The use of public transport in the region is free for all guests with the FüssenCard.
Scheduled buses depart at regular intervals from the Hotel Eggensberger (bus stop "Haus Hopfensee" - 300 m) to Füssen, the royal castles and most of the sights in the surrounding area and, of course, they return there again. In the evenings, the bus routes are supplemented by shared taxis that you can call (Anruf-Sammel-Taxis, AST).
